Elissa Freiha is the founder of womena®, the Middle East’s largest platform for Women Empowerment. With over a decade of influence in the women empowerment space, Elissa has driven significant change through various initiatives, including financial literacy programs, investment management for women, and entrepreneurial accelerators, channeling millions of dollars into women-focused projects and businesses.
Under her leadership, womena® has evolved into a multifaceted organization, producing original content that highlights women change-makers and fosters mass influence and positive impact. Elissa’s work extends beyond media; she is a founding board member of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy since 2021, where she contributes to shaping the digital landscape in the region.
Elissa is an exciting, active, and authentic speaker, having delivered over 150 keynote speeches and motivational workshops. She represents a progressive and strong community of young Arab women at every event she attends. In addition to her speaking engagements, Elissa has experience hosting events, MC-ing, and hosting shows. Currently, she focuses on running womena® and executive producing all major content, including "Every Two Weeks," an award-winning short film.
Elissa has also modelled for and collaborated with numerous prestigious brands such as Cartier, Piaget, Christian Dior, Ralph Lauren, Elie Saab, Burberry, Mercedes Benz, Victoria’s Secret, and Timberland, showcasing her versatile talents and broad appeal.
As Arab-American, Born and raised in Paris, Elissa brings a multicultural and global approach to addressing gender disparities. She speaks four languages and has studied in the French, British, and American systems, reflecting her diverse background and inclusive perspective.
Elissa’s commitment to gender equality and her innovative approach have earned her numerous awards and accolades from notable outlets such as Forbes 30 Under 30, Entrepreneur of the Year by One World, and Esquire Magazine. She is a recognized leader in the Middle East, dedicated to creating a more equitable future for all.
